For a while now my laptop has been randomly going to this screen. Once it restarts, it will revert to a black screen but will remain on, causing me to do a forced shut down. Because I’m not sure if it’s 2 separate problems or one in the same, I will explain what I’ve noticed from both.

For the blue screen) It seems to do it mostly when I’m trying to play The Sims 4 or watch something on, say, YouTube and Hulu. While on those applications, I repeatedly get a message from OneDrive saying I have files that can be removed or restored. I always try to restore them. And then it will go to the blue screen.

For the plain black screen) It mostly follows the initial restart of the blue screen but a few times it would just turn black randomly. I’m scared to but pressure on the screen in case that’s the reason.

I recently got it fixed after a hard drive issue and sadly it did not fix this current issue. I had for about a year and a half now. Any advise? I really need it for school 😕

Whenever I've run into this, it was because a drive was failing -- and since I have now replaced my HDDs with SSDs, I don't encounter this anymore.

How recently did you have the drive replaced?
