HP ZBook Power 15.6 inch G10 Mobile Workstation PC (7C3M3AV)

Hello, I have recently bought ZBook Power G10 with HP Thunderbolt dock G4 280 w/Combo cable. Device came with Windows 11 pre-installed. For a few weeks, everything worked fine. Now (I think the issue started after the Windows 11 23H2 update) the dock still recconects, does not connect any peripherials, just charges the device. In the Device Manager, the dock still reloads, so basically it does not work. I have tried to reinstall drivers and have done fresh Windows installation also, nothing changed. BIOS and dock FW is up to date. I wanted to try OS recovery through Cloud Recovery, but the product ID is not recognized and image is not available. Dock with different device works fine, also current notebook works fine with other than HP dock. Can anyone help me, please?

I have a ZBook Power G10 A and it does not work with the G4 280w Dock either. My monitors just go black, then come back on intermittently. I plugged in a USB-C j5Create portable dock into the USB-C plug in the front of the HP G4 dock, and plugged my two monitors into the portable j5create dock and it is working. I'm really not happy that I have to plug in a B3$tBuy $70 dock into my $400+ HP G4 dock in order for my monitors to work. 

HP, you need to test compatibility of your docks WITH your laptops.

Hello, took a while already, meanwhile I have got delivered more pieces of the same setup and everything worked fine, just the first ntb was failing, so we have replaced motherboard with technician and now everything works fine again. On the former MB we did not find any visible damage, but there were a few screws unmounted from the fans, that is kinda sad. Overall, troubleshooting took me 30 hours and Im glad that my customer has already fully working setup.

I have the same computer (HP Zbook Power G10A) and dock (HP Thunderbolt dock G4, 280W), also the same problems with the screens. Have new HP z series screens. I have been contacting HP support (The Netherlands) for about 5 months for a solution, but I'm afraid they don't have it. From windows 11 pro to install windows 10 pro, and back to install windows 11 pro, nothing helps. HP suggested Bios settings that I needed to make, but this setting does not exist in my Bios (the latest Bios version). I am afraid that this configuration of HP Zbook power G10A and HP Thunderbolt Dock G4 was a wrong purchase.

After asking my coworker that got the same model I did, he said he used the dock with the SPN: M97106-001 and it works. If I recall, he said he still gets a rare flicker, but it's not the constant blinking. I haven't tried it yet myself however, but he's another IT guy like myself. So frustrating to get the higher end laptop and dock to have it not even work.

I received a new dock from HP with SPN: M97106-001, and this did not solve the problem, My client gave me a Lenovo laptop with specific software on it to do engineerings work for them, this Lenovo laptop works on the dock without any problems.
