Hi,
The latest windows 10 update caused a accelerometerdll.DLL error. The error message appears in Windows Start up.
I've uninstalled the 3D Driveguard and tried to reinstall it back again but no use.
Noting that I tried all the following versions (one by one offcourse)
sp67280 (didn't work, so I uninstalled it)
sp71811 (didn't work, so I uninstalled it too)
sp78033 (didn't wok too!!!!)
So please inform me how to fix this error and what is the right version of the driveguard suitable to my PC.
With Regards,
engbaderr.

Hi,
Try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP 3D DriveGuard and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
Download the version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81001-81500/sp81142.exe
Download and install the x64 version of 7-Zip on the link below.
When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the sp81142 package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok.
Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find.
When done, hold down the Windows key and press R
Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
In Device Manager, expand System devices, right click the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor entry and select 'Update Driver Software'.
In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'.
In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted sp81142 folder you pasted on your Desktop.
Browse into the sub-folder InstallFiles, open the folder Win10, left click on the file accelerometer to highlight it and then click Open.
Click on 'Ok' and then click 'Next' and wait for the driver to install.
When done, click 'Close' and then click 'Yes' to restart the notebook.

DP-K

Hi DP-K
Thank you for your reply, I'm following your instructions,
but when I click the 'Have Disk' button, and trying to Browse the extrcted file, the file doesn't appear at all in its location as it's an "exe" file, while the allowed files to be browsed in this window is only (*.info).
So, please advise.

Hi,
Have you pasted the extracted sp81142 package on the Desktop?

Hi,
The extracted folder isn't showing.
Can you upload a normal screenshot of the Desktop - ie when you're not browsing via Device Manager.
Regards,
DP-K

Hi,
Your screenshot is showing just the sp81142 executable, not the extracted sp81142 folder.
If you've installed 7-Zip, right click on the sp81142 package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok.
You should now see two files shown in the image below - now try browsing via Device Manager to the extracted sp81142 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder InstallFiles, open the folder Win10, left click on the file accelerometer to highlight it and then click Open.
Click on 'Ok' and then click 'Next' and wait for the driver to install.

DP-K
