Bought pc in Feburary 2025 with windows 11 pro installed.  Around December 1 2025 strarted get notification that windows needed to be activated.  Activation failed with message that organization server cannot be contacted.  Error code 0xc004f074.  This pc is personal and has never been on or part of any organization.  Window 11 pro was purchased with the pc.  Have taken all of the troubleshooting steps and contacted MS which recommended the same troubleshooting steps that gets into a do loop with the same error message at the end of the process.  Contracted with ask an expert.  Their solution was to contact MS which got into the same do loop with no oppertunity to talk to a person.  Any help would be appreciated.

Download and install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft Store.

The report should show you an 'Installed key' and an OEM product key.

 

If the notebook came from HP with Windows 11 Pro installed, the report should show a W10/W11 Pro OEM product key in the BIOS.

 

Make sure that the OEM product key is for W10/W11 Pro, and not W10/W11 Core which is the Home version.
