Microsoft Windows 11

I was doing a routine cleaning on the machine and I deleted the files from the “Temp” and “Preftch” folders, then without precision of what I was doing I changed the disk access permissions to be able to share files to another laptop through a local WIFI network.

Thinking I had reverted all the changes I made, I noticed the bitlocker padlock symbol on disk C and as soon as I restarted the machine I realized that I was getting a denied access message to disk C and even not being able to access any application installed on the disk.

Hi @NBOla

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I would suggest you perform a system restore and check if the issue persists. Here is a link that will help: https://support.hp.com/th-en/product/hp-latex-360-printers/6838371/document/c03327545

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @Nirvana_95

My problem was far beyond that. I didn't have any saved restore point, even if I had it, I wouldn't be able to restore it. It would always report an error like "access denied". I've tried dozens of methods given by some forums I searched, but I failed anyway. Therefore, the very only solution I had was installing a clean version of the OS (Win11) and my problem was solved even though losing my personal Data.
So thank you for answering my call for help.

Best wishes.
