Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

when i upgraded to windows 10 i lost access to administrator account from 8.1. how do i find it and access it? im the only user on the computer. if nothing else, how can i go back to 8.1 with no administrator rights?

If you cannot access the admin account due to unknown/forgotten password or some other issue, please check this thread >> http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/I-forgot-my-password-can-HP-help...

 

If you are unable to access Windows, then the only option is to perform recovery to factory default condition.

 

Shut down the PC. Start it again. As soon you press the power-on button, start to hit the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap). HP Start up menu will appear. Choose F11 for Recovery. If the recovery partition is there and if it is working, the process should start. More info and details here >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00006110
