The problem started with system shutdown accedently by it self. The system "refuses" to aktivate restore operation after pressing F11. When restarting or poweron the computer, The system disply an error massege asking för a bootable disk "in the black screan" or "DOS screan..!"
After memory test was OK- the system dos not ercognize the hard disk telling that " the hard drive is not Exist".
What shall I do to solve this problem.?
Thank you in advance

If the computer HDD tests fail because no HDD is found , most likely it is HDD failure. No, this is not a BIOS virus that prevents access to HDD. It could be some cable or connector issue but is highly unlikely.
With regards to the faulty hardware part (HDD) - your next options are:
1) If your computer is still under warranty, please contact HP Support and inform them. They will work with you about the way to replace the faulty component. Contact HP:
>> http://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) If your computer is with warranty period expired, you will need to replace the faulty HDD - buy it on your own. There are variety of options - vendors you can choose from. You can get it online or from PC retail store, or from HP parts store http://partsurfer.hp.com/
You can also consider installing SSD instead of HDD - this is strongly recommended as SSDs are way faster, more repliable and lighter. More info on SSDs:
>> http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2404258,00.asp
You need HDD with the very same size as the current one or bigger (small will not work) - e.g. if your current HDD (or SSD) is with 500 GB capacity, your new HDD/SDD must also be 500 GB or with bigger capacity.
How to replace the faulty HDD with new HDD or new SSD: please, find info and instruction in your computer's manual or watch YouTube videos examples for your HP model.
Service and maintenence guide - page 47 (4-10) >>> http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01868653
If you do not want to do this on your own, please bring the computer (or ship it) to HP Authorized Service Center where the technicians will do this for you. If you are not sure where such a center is located, check these or contact HP for assistance in finding the nearest one for you:
>> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730
>> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/store-finder/find.do?bs=SR4&type=authorized
Last part - once you replace the faulty component - you will need to reinstall back your operating system - Windows or another. So,
3.1 ) IF your computer originally came with Windows preinstalled by HP (a.k.a. OEM Windows), then you need to use HP recovery media - DVDs or USB pen drive you have previously created or recovery media purchased from HP. Some general info >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00006110
If there is no recovery media at HP, you can try to contact these 3rd parties
http://www.best2serve.com/page/rcd_landing <EU/EMEA<< OR
>US/CA/AMS>>>> http://www.computersurgeons.com/
to see if they can offer you such recovery media
3.2) IF your computer did not originally come with Windows preinstalled but you later installed operating system on your own, you need to use the OS / Windows installation media and install Windows on your own.
Please, let me know how it goes and do post back if you need assistance.
Looking forward to your feeback/reply. 🙂

Hello @jaghima
Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.
Let me explain :
The error message "Boot device not found" appears when you start the PC because when computer starts the BIOS (part of the motherboard) checks all the listed devices but does not find the bootable files, an error message like the following is displayed: Boot Device Not Found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk.
It may appear because operating system is corrupted or missing in the primary boot disk or because there is no working boot disk. By default the boot disk is the hard disk drive (HDD).
F11 does not work because it is part of the HDD - if there is a HDD and if there is recovery partition there, the F11 option will work.
I see you did the BIOS tests and it seems the HDD is corrupted/not detected for some reason.
Possible solution:
Please, review the officiail HP article about such issues here > http://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c01443463
Restore the BIOS to default settings. Also, try to re-seat the HDD .
Once ready, test the HDD from BIOS again and let me know the results.
Does it still show as missing ?

Thank you for your replay, but unfortunatly , I allready tested these methods.., I think that BIOS is corrupted by a virus..or somthing.! that preventing access to the HDD....."maybe".....
Here is the full Error message:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, chech cable
PXE-MOF:Exiting PXE ROM
No bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key

Thank you very much for this fully assistans. It is true that this issue was a HDD failure. I have connect it as an external media to another computer with sata device cable with USB connector, it did not spin at all and the computer could not recognize it..., so..., I am sure now that it is the HDD faliure.
My new question is, Can I use may recovery DVD disks to setup a new HDD,... Will recovery file formate and partation the new HDD in this case exactly lik the faulty HDD with the recovery partition file on it..?
Thank you again

Hi Jaghima,
Yes, you can use your own recovery media if it was created prior to the fault. It was created correctly and if the media is not damanaged somehow, it should work fine similar to the HP Recovery media.
However, if for some reason you miss your own recovery media or if it turns out damanged, please get the HP original ones.
Cheers!
