You're very welcome.

Yes, if you can use nLite, slipstream the entire driver folder I attached after you unzip it and use nLite.

There is another way you can easily install XP and that would be to go into the BIOS and disable the SATA Native Mode setting and XP will install in IDE mode.

You don't want to have XP running in IDE mode because it is much slower since it cannot use native command queuing.

I can give you a way to install the storage controller driver with Sata native mode disabled, then you restart the PC, change Sata native mode back to enabled and the driver will install.

Hi:

You will either have to slipstream the required storage controller drivers into a copy of your XP installation media or get a USB floppy disk drive and a 1.44 MB floppy disk and load the specific storage controller driver from the list of storage controllers on the floppy disk.

I have attached the instructions for how to slipstream the drivers, below.

I have attached the storage controller drivers you need to slipstream or copy to a floppy disk, below.

Here's how to manually add the storage controller driver using a floppy disk drive.

For the floppy disk method, you copy the files inside the folder to the USB floppy disk, not the entire folder itself.

  1. Boot with the XP installation CD and press F6 when prompted at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Press S to specify the additional device when asked.
  3. Insert the SATA driver disk into the floppy drive and press S again.
  4. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to scroll to and select the appropriate controller driver from the list which will be the Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
  6. Do not remove the USB FDD until after XP has completely finished installing.

Looks good to me.

I see the storage controller drivers nLite slipstreamed into the folder nLite created in the ISO file.
