Hi Team,
I can see antimalware service executable takes 160 MB memory + 4.1% CPU on my HP pavilion G6-1365EA laptop which has OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
I do not have any other antivirus on my laptop, so dont want to disable it.
Please could you confirm if antimalware service executable is working fine and need not to do anything in order to fix this.
Thanks

I think it is a background process from Windows Defender. 4% CPU is a bit high, on my machine (few weeks old) using ALL as default.
Please try the following fixes

Thanks for the prompt reply.
i have gone through the mentioned website, but I have a doubt..if I remove it from scheduler, won’t there a chances of my system being compromised?
will it check for malware in background?
I don’t want to disable it at all as I don’t have any other antivirus..
