HP Victus 16
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello. I am a HP Victus 16 laptop user. I can use it on my own phone but I couldn't use it on the laptop. I want it to cut off the charge when the charge level reaches 80%. How can I do this? I always use the computer with the plug.

Hi @Vectus_TR,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for your question! You're right to want to limit your HP Victus 16 laptop’s battery charge to 80%—it’s a great way to extend battery lifespan, especially if you mostly use it plugged in.

Here’s how you can try to do that:

Option 1: Use BIOS Settings (If Available)

Some HP Victus models include a Battery Health Manager or Adaptive Battery Optimizer in the BIOS. Here’s how to check:

  1. Shut down your laptop.
  2. Press the Power button, then immediately start pressing the F10 key repeatedly to enter BIOS.
  3. Navigate to the Advanced or Configuration tab.
  4. Look for:
    • Battery Health Manager → Set to Maximize my battery health
    • Or Adaptive Battery Optimizer → Set to Enabled
  5. Press F10 to save and exit.

This setting helps limit the charge to around 80% to preserve battery health

If You Don’t See That Option

Not all Victus models have this feature yet. If it’s missing:

  • Update your BIOS from HP’s official site.
  • After updating, check the BIOS again for the battery limiter option.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
