bios pw change

i am trying to remove the password i set in the bios but cannot get rid of it,when i set the bios to the defaults so it will clear it ,when i restart i get the screen to confirm the change then input what number is on the screen,after restarting i get the screen confirming again do i want to do this so input the security number give but the password still exists when i reboot...then i have to select a new pin for the pc as well when windows starts.
