Hello @Madmax54

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Community.

I just checked the BIOS of your PC model Pavillion DV7 and such an option should be available.

  • Once you enter BIOS, go to System Configuration -> Boot Options -> Boot order
  • What you are looking for is called USB Disketter on Key / USB Hard Disk
  • You can rearrange the options using F5 and F6 keys (move up and down)

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Dean for your help, I didn't know that USB diskette on key, the USB slot is. Now I know that too. Another question, the reason I had to reinstall my PC is that after a few minutes the processor fan turned like a fool and after 15-20 min after booting I get a blue screen with the message safety switched on thermal problem. Now I have just installed Windows 10 and it remains the same ,what may be the problem of it. Thanks in advance for the replay

Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) is kind of Windows self-protection feature. If you received a blue screen error, or stop code, the computer has shut down abruptly to protect itself from data loss.

A hardware device, its driver, or related software might have caused this error. Most likely it is a hardware issue (based on your description and facts).

In order to troubleshoot, I would need some specific information.

Configuration

When you start your computer to Windows, go to Start ->  Control Panel -> System should be opened.

Then follow the instructions here to Disable Automatic Reboot after Blue Screen Errors

Uncheck "Automatically restart" option and click OK.

When BSOD screen appears your computer shall not reboot but the blue screen will remain on top.

Please, write here absolutely everything you will see on the screen. (of take a picture and upload it here or somewhere else). There can be some code which may help me help you. After that you will have to hard restart your computer.

Run CPU stress test and let me know how it goes.

Run Hard disk tests and let me know how it goes
