hi guys i'm looking for a bios update for my old hp g6 laptop with serial # 5CG1261NNQ. AMD A6-3400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (4 CPUs), ~1.4GHz and InsydeH2O Version CCB.03.61.17F.49 (type: BIOS)

i cannot find it online and was wondering if someone knows where i can get it.

any help would be much appreciated.

Hi:

 

The serial number you posted decodes to a considerably newer HP 240 G7 notebook with totally different hardware than you referred to.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

What is the product number of the PC you have?

 

You can find your PC's product number by clicking on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.

 

Type: System Information

 

The System information app should show up.

 

Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.

 

Post the product number you see there.
