Hello, could you help me please? I want to update BIOS for my HP Pavilion 15 au104np, model Y7W43EA#AB9. Current BIOS is F.23 and I want to update to latest bios version available for my model, F56 rev A. So I downloaded the sp111733.exe file and executed the file which gave me the error "this bios update is blocked on this device". Tried a manually bios update and prepared USB flash and noted that there is not a 08216.bin file that should match my motherboard model: 8216(U3E1). As the result BIOS is refusing Update.

Even assuming compatibility, it is not always possible to jump from a very old BIOS update to the latest when there are so many incremental updates between the current (installed) BIOS and the destination version.
If you want this, start with the older update (Version F.36 Rev.A (in sub-section Revision History).
If that update loads without destroying your computer BIOS, try another small jump to a slightly newer version.

Hi .Thank you for your time . The problem is not windows 11. I tried with windows 10 and the same happened! The problem is just one: the sp111733.exe file does not contain the bios file that fits my board model:8216(U3E1). Just that.
the sp111733.exe update contains the files for:
1-820D
2-8209
3-8217
Can you give me link for the update to the F.36 Rev.A version as you suggested? Or any that contains the file for my board
Best regards

Excellent.
You are welcome.
Good Luck with the rest.

For those reading,
When available, find older (previous) BIOS updates in the latest BIOS update web page in sub-section Revision History.
Older BIOS updates can be used to incrementally update a much older BIOS to a newer version, one or two version jumps at a time.
As a matter of what is reasonable,
- Do not update the BIOS unless you have a good reason to do so.
- Before updating, always have your critical files and data backed up to other than the local system.
In this case,
Right-Click and open Category Software, Drivers, and Firmware
As needed, enter your Operating System / version > Wait for list > Open All drivers > Open all
Open section BIOS > Open the section > "See full details"
Scroll down on the page > Open sub-section Revision History
Scroll through the available update descriptions --
Available downloads are located in a table at the bottom of the page
