If your PC has a UEFI BIOS, it should have two sets of boot options--Legacy and (U)EFI.

 

You boot the Rufus installer from the (U)EFI boot source, not the legacy one.

 

If your PC does not have two sets of boot options, then you have to remake your Rufus installer and select the MBR partition scheme instead of GPT.

 

Then you should be able to install whatever it is you are trying to install.
