HP 250 G7 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP Community,

I am using an HP 250 G7 Notebook PC with the following specification:

- Processor : Intel Celeron N4000 @ 1 . 10GHz

- RAM : 4GB (3.82 GB usable)

- Graphics : Intel UHD Graphics 600

- Storage: 1TB HDD

I want to know whether my laptop is capable of running Windows 11. If it does not meet the requirements, should I keep using it with windows 10, or would it be better to sell/exchange it and buy a newer model?

Please guide me with the best option.

Thank you.

''Thank you for your reply. I would like to know:

1. How can I get Windows 11 officially on my HP 250 G7 (download/upgrade process)?

2. My PC Health Check says 'Secure Boot not enabled'. How can I enable Secure Boot on my system?

3. If I face performance issues, what upgrades (RAM/SSD) do you recommend for smooth Windows 11?"

HP Recommended

It has a single slot and this processor only supports 8 GB. You can replace the HDD with an SSD if you want something faster, and you can download Windows 11 from the Microsoft website. Secure mode is activated in the BIOS; you must disable legacy mode. Once you have done this, it will no longer recognize the operating system you have installed and you will need to reinstall it.

Thank You for that suggestion sir.

1. Should I purchase the SSD myself and install it directly  at home, or is it better to go to an HP Service center for installation?

2. if I need to visit, please provide the nearest HP Authorized Service Center location for Dharwad, Karnataka-580005.

3 Which company SSD is best for purchase.

HP Recommended

HP does not provide this type of service. You must replace your hard drive with an SSD yourself or have it done by a trusted technician. The SSD can be any brand you want.
