I tried to load turbo tax and was told my system would not support it.

Hi:

 

Your notebook does not meet the W11 hardware requirements established by Microsoft.

 

If you are running Windows 8.1 on your notebook, you should be able to upgrade it to W10.

 

You can upgrade from W8.1>W10 by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool at the link below.

 

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

 

You will need another PC running W10/W11 64 bit to make the installation media because I believe the media creation tool no longer works on W7 or W8.

 

After the USB installation media has been created, plug it into your PC's USB port.

 

Do not boot from it.

 

Open the flash drive in Windows Explorer and double click on the Setup application you see there to begin the upgrade process to W10.
