Hi @YYH55,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
To set the Secure Boot option to "Custom" and load the HP Factory Default Keys on your HP ENVY x360 Convert 15-es0003ca, you will need to navigate through the BIOS/UEFI settings. Here's how you can do this:
Steps to Enable Secure Boot and Set it to Custom
Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Shut down your laptop completely.
- Turn it on and immediately start pressing the F10 key repeatedly until you enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility.
Navigate to Secure Boot Settings:
- Once in the BIOS/UEFI, use the arrow keys to navigate to the Security or System Configuration tab (the exact location may vary).
- Find the Secure Boot Configuration or Boot Options.
Change Secure Boot Mode to Custom:
- Look for the Secure Boot option, which is usually set to Enabled or Standard by default.
- Select Secure Boot Mode and change it from Standard or Default to Custom.
- If the option is greyed out or unavailable, try disabling Secure Boot first, saving and exiting the BIOS, then re-entering to make changes.
Load HP Factory Default Keys:
- After setting the Secure Boot Mode to Custom, find the option to Load HP Factory Default Keys.
- Select this option and confirm to load the factory default Secure Boot keys.
Save and Exit:
- Press F10 or follow the on-screen instructions to save the changes.
- Confirm any prompts to save changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI.
Restart the Laptop:
- The laptop will restart, and Secure Boot should now be set to Custom with the HP Factory Default Keys loaded.
Tips
- BIOS/UEFI Update: Ensure your BIOS/UEFI firmware is up to date. Visit the HP Support website, enter your laptop model, and check for any available BIOS updates.
- Access Keys Vary: The BIOS key may vary, so if F10 doesn’t work, try Esc, F2, or Del.
- Reset BIOS/UEFI Settings: If you encounter any issues, you can always reset the BIOS to default settings using the Restore Defaults or Load Setup Defaults option in the BIOS menu.
Following these steps should allow you to set Secure Boot to Custom and load the HP Factory Default Keys.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
