Hi . ive not had this laptop for long and its telling me i need windows update. It then tells me i haven't enough storage. no matter what i delete (ive deleted everything i can) i still haven't got enough storage. i have googled info on this and it seams as though i cant even upgrade to more storage! i can use a USB device or an SD card but then i find out the windows version i'm trying to update (only this version, May 2019) can not be updated using external storage. i am now stuck with a laptop that will be of no use to me unless i get the update of windows 10. sorry to ramble but i really do not have a clue on what i'm doing.

Let's start by being more realistic -- getting nagged for a Windows Update hardly makes your pc "of no use" to you! It's merely an inconvenience. It doesn't stop the PC from working and it doesn't render it useless.
Here are some ways to reclaim more disk space that you might not have tried ...

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr
Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html
If those don't reclaim enough space, then come back as there might be an alternative way but it will involve some work on your part.
