@ash2009, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Hard Reset

Turn off the laptop.

Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if possible).

Hold the power button for 15-30 seconds.

Plug the charger back in and turn on the laptop.

Update BIOS

Go to HP's Support website.

Search for your laptop model and download the latest BIOS update.

Install the update carefully (don’t interrupt it).

Check Power Settings

Go to Settings > System > Power & Sleep.

Set your power plan to Balanced.

In Advanced Power Settings, reset any unusual settings.

Reinstall Power Drivers

Open Device Manager.

Right-click on Battery and AC Adapter, then uninstall them.

Restart the laptop to reinstall the drivers.

Check for Windows Updates

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Install all available updates.

Disable Fast Startup

Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.

Uncheck Turn on fast startup and save.

Test Charger/Battery

Try using another charger (if available).

Make sure your battery isn’t faulty.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
