Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d1 (53F51AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

i upgraded my hp victus d1xxx laptop by putting new ram into ram slot. The pc already had 8 gb i put another 16 gb ram. After inserting and closing the case i run the laptop. But when i first run the computer after upgrading ram it showed me "cmos checksum is invalid" error asked me to press enter to restart computer and bios. i didnt touched anything. the error message gone and the pc restarted itself. After computer restarted itself no error message appeared. I opened computer everything seems fine. I look at hp omen and task manager and it shows me additional ram too. Now i am worrying why it appeared at first time run and why it didnt appear again? Or while upgrading the pc did i do something wrong? Or while pc restarting itself it automatically repaired the problem by itself? What should i do now, should i worry or is this a normal thing after upgrading the ram. By the way while i was upgrading ram i disconnected the battery too as hp youtube channel recommended me to do.

Memory problems can easily corrupt the BIOS.

What does "The pc already had 8 gb i put another 16 gb ram." mean exactly?

Did you install a 16 GB module in addition to the 8gb that was already installed?

If that was what you did, I am not surprised that caused a problem.

You were lucky.

When the memory training on the first boot after installing the new memory  took place and the laptop restarted, it ran "normally".

There is no telling how long that luck will last.

For best result when  upgrading memory, remove the original module(s) and install a pair of identical guaranteed compatible memory modules.
