Hi Guys Hope you’re doing well!

I’ve got a bit of a issue and i basically just wanted to hear if maybe some of you have heard about it?

So, we’ve had a recent BIOS update on our computers, after the update, about 12-15 of the machines just don’t want to wake up.

We’ve made sure the power’s plugged in and made sure not to fiddle with any buttons during the update.

But now, they’re just sitting there, all quiet-like, with no lights on the screen or keyboard.

It’s like they’ve decided to take an extended nap! The only fix we’ve found so far is swapping out the motherboard, which kind of feels like is a bit extreme?

I’m curious if this is just us or if it’s a common thing Have you heard of anything like this happening elsewhere? Any advice or shared experiences would be super helpful.

Thanks a bunch for reading this, I apologise for any mistakes as English isn't my first language.

Best regards

Knut

Hi,

I have the same problem with an HP Probook 455 G7. After a BIOS update, the computer is dead and doesn´t restart anymore. I already got in touch with a local IT company, unfortunately without any success and hope that somebody will find a solution to re-activate the notebook.

Best regards

The only solution I am aware off at the current time is flashing the bios manually, so actually taking it off the motherboard and using BIOS flashing tool to rollback to previous driver. Haven't tried it myself but it's the only solution I have seen someone claim working so if you have multiple computers it might be worth it,
