Product: Hp 15-1009wm notebook pc.
Operating System: Microsoft Windows NT
So here's the problem.. I installed windows 10 by changing GPT TO MBR in other to install it. Seems it deleted the hp firmware on the hard disk. However, videos weren't playing it was mostly lagging well so I wanted to factory reset. Realized the recovery partition had been deleted due to the gpt change. I found a software and some how used it to recover it on my laptop. The problem is even tho I've recovered it, I'm still not able to boot into recovery(f11). I want to do a factory reset to take it back to the state it was
Ps- I can't order for the USB from hp. I'm in Africa

You should've created Recovery discs/USB (one-time process) yourself after first setup of this laptop. This media woudl have helped you in situations like these. I assume you have not.

This is a favourable thing. Since Windows 10 Home 64bit has been activated, you can easily CLEAN INSTALL Windows 10 Home in your laptop (if you wish to do so) using Microsoft windows media creation tool. This is the easiest and inexpensive method of installing Windows 10 in your system.

Your model support Windows 10. And HP also lists drivers needed after installation here. Have you installed AMD graphics driver from this support page for the video issue you were facing?

That is not going to work. Once you do upgrade installation, clean installation etc, the HP Recovery partition gets corrupted or inoperable most of the times. Even if you get back the partition alone by other means, it will not work in factory resetting OS again to the original one 99% of the cases. I am also surprised that you were able to use HP Recovery Manager after the upgrade to factory reset initially.

You can now do a Clean install by creating UEFI bootable USB and booting from it as elaborated in the tutorial I have linked.

No you cannot use Recovery media created from another different model to recover operating system in this. It has to be from the exact same model.

6. Why does the videos lag( they don't play well) when I upgrade to windows 10. Can't seem to understand. Is my machine not built for it
Your laptop came with AMD Dual-Core Processor E1-2100 with Radeon HD 8210 Graphics (Integrated). Try installing the AMD driver I suggested before. HP do support Windows 10 in this model.
You're welcome!

Hi,
No other way than to order recovery media from HP if you want to factory reset OS.
Your laptop came with Windows 8.1 Bing 64bit from factory.
Specs: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04278796
Few things to clarify:
1. Did you create Recovery media yourself after first setup of this laptop?
2. Did you upgrade install from Windows 8.1 Bing to Windows 10 Home first, and get Windows 10 activated successfully?
Upgrade install will automatically render HP recovery partition inoperable. So you'll not be able to use HP recovery partition to reset after upgrade.
3. ".... I installed windows 10 by changing GPT TO MBR in other to install it" -->
Do you mean that you Clean installed Windows 10?
Was this done after upgrade activation in the first place?
4. "..Seems it deleted the hp firmware on the hard disk." -->
Which firmware? Are you referring to recovery partition in hard drive?
If so, it has become inoperable and corrupted after upgrade to Windows 10.
5. "..I found a software and some how used it to recover it on my laptop." -->
Which software? Did you mean this software restored recovery partition back?
Only thing I know which can do that is Recovery USB/discs.
If you've done upgrade install to Windows 10 and successful activation thereon in the first place, you can do a clean install of Windows 10 Home 64 bit in your laptop, using Windows media creation tool. But you cannot restore recovery partition anymore.
