@dmorton276

You need to explain what you mean by "IP Identity theft" as that makes no sense to me.

Let me explain.

An IP address is a code that is assigned to your account by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).  This is dynamically assigned by their servers, and every time you reboot your PC cold, you are likely to get a different address. So basically, the address is theirs, not yours, so there would be no point in stealing it because it would do no one any good.

As to identity, your personal information  is not, in any way, associated with IP address, because, as I said, that address is constantly changing. So, while a website you visit can get information about your PC, it can not get any of your personal information, what constitutes your "identity". So, once again, it makes no sense to say this is being stolen.

That said, if someone has stolen your identity information through other means, such that they have information critical to you, that has nothing whatsoever to do with your IP or with HP, and you need to report that theft to the authorities, and if it includes online account information, change those accounts and their passwords, immediately.
