I'm trying to update the bios and need to know if the bios version has to match exactly or just the F number?
HP lists a BIOS F.19A, 6/2016 but mine says F.19, 5/27/2016.

Don't confuse yourself.
F.45 Rev A is the latest version.
F number is the version number. So at the number is higher, version is also latest.

Latest BIOS version listed in your support page is: F.45 Rev.A dated May 17, 2017.

Sorry I'm not clear, not an expert user. I did see the
F45 is the update, however I was just concerned if that was the correct version for my laptop. I looked at the details page and that is where I got the F19A information. Just confused as to whether it matters if the dates matter or just that F19 is all that needs to match and not the F19A.
