Hi @fdh4t3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're using the HP OMEN WD0880TX laptop, and you want to downgrade the BIOS from F.27 to an earlier version due to issues caused by the F.27 update. You're trying the USB method, but it's saying, “No compatible file found.”

BIOS downgrades on newer HP OMEN laptops can be tricky due to security features in the BIOS (like rollback protection). Let's try and get all the help.

1. BIOS Restore:

1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in

2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.

3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.

4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.

Check if it still shows F.27 or an older version.

2. Try installing an older version from the HP driver page.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi @fdh4t3,

Thank you for letting me know. Sometimes the downgrade may not work using the USB. I would suggest that you directly try installing the previous version and check. Also, please let me know if your Omen Pc boots to Windows or if it gets any error.
