Hi:

That is not the driver problem you are having.

When you get the missing cd/dvd drivers error, you need to run this tool to put the required USB3 drivers into your W7 USB flash drive installation media.

There is a readme link on the page for how to use the tool.  Download the applicable file version for the operating system you plan to run the tool on.

Hi:

Unfortunately, there isn't.

You can read this discussion for what this other person did if you have the same option.

Start reading where the forum member named Geeing started posting.

But if you don't have an option to add a M.2 SSD or HDD, and your notebook doesn't have a built in DVD drive, you would have to remove the hard drive and copy the driver files to it from another PC.

I found a way to intergrate drivers but not of type .exe is but of type .inf.

Are there drivers for sm but at least for to intergrate them?

Hi:

The Intel chipset driver you can download as a zip file directly from Intel and it will have the inf files without further action.

2nd one down on the left.

You can do the same for the USB3 driver...

the first link doesnt contain .inf download files am i wrong? I downloaded both of them but onlu the usb3 contains .inf .The first link has 2 download options and both of them have an .exe

HP Recommended

Sorry...it is the first link first (zip) driver on the left that has the inf files.

In any event, you only need the USB3 driver so you can use a flash drive to install the rest of the drivers you need.

The chipset driver is not necessary at this time.
