cannot open or download email attachments or internet downloads...internet shuts down

Hi,

 

Looks like you are using webmail. Which browser are you using ? Have you tried to use other browser ? For example: you are using IE now, please switch to Firefox or something else.

Hi,

 

Do you know what is the format of the attachment(s) ? You may need add-in to be able to read. Can you save attachment(s) then open it/them ?

yes... on format

no.. won't download, open, or save. internet shuts down.  can't download internet either.

yes, IE is what I am using. I will try the switch.

Don't know if this has anything to relate to problem but after I renewed Norton is when I began experiencing the problem.

thank you so much for your help! sorry for delayed response but when I switched browsers, no more problems. don't know what happened to IE, but so far no more issues w/different browser. thanks again!
