Hi, hoping someone can help me. My HP Pavilion has had an issue since I installed Windows 11. I've since reset the hard drive & reinstalled Windows 10 but the problem still persists;
I get a flash of blue screen (Too quick to read anything other than your device ran into an error and needs to restart...). Sometimes It goes back to my desk top & goes on a loop of blue screen, restart.
Sometimes it goes to a black screen saying 'Boot Device Not Found. Please install an Operating System on your Hard Disk. Hard Disc (3F0) - & prompting me to do diagnostics F2.
When I do F2, hard disk test, it says ‘hard drive not found’. I do not get a code. I then reset with F10 & then sometimes I can carry on for a period of time or it just goes on a constant loop doing this.
When I get back to my desktop, if I do the UFEI diagnostic test, the hard drive test passes.
I explained this to an HP rep as still under warranty and they got me to reset the BIOS (Windows B). This took an age, started it at 13:00 and it finished at 18:30! It was on the initialising screen for over 90 minutes. It was on the 100% complete screen for nearly 2 hours. As soon as my laptop started up again I got the blue screen flash and black screen again.
I am now unable to contact the HP rep for a few days as I work their opening hours.
Can anyone help explain what next steps I should take or what could be the issue? I am pretty clueless with this type of thing.
Thank you.
