Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I have a pavilion 17 laptop with a crashed HDD. I copied all my files, but now cannot boot back up. I have an ssd drive, and would like to put in this laptop. Can I put a new hard drive in this computer and make it like it was new?  Is it possible to get my window license from HP with my serial number?

Hi:

 

You should be able to put a 2.5" SSD in place of the failed 2.5" mechanical hard drive.

 

You can reinstall W10 for free by creating a bootable USB installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below.

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
