Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It has been maybe 3 or 4 weeks since I got this new laptop. All of a sudden, an hour ago after finishing an online multiple-choice test, the fan started making this really loud fluttering/whirring noise. Usually it sounds like, I don't know, a really loud breeze, but now it sounds like the fan is knocking against a piece of string or plastic. When I touch the laptop, I can feel it intensely vibrating. I checked with a flash light and nothing seems to be jammed in there. I restarted the laptop and went to have dinner but when I came back, it's still making that noise, even though I'm not running any intense software. What do I do? It's such an annoying sound. The sales clerk I spoke with assured me this wouldn't be an issue with this model. I really don't want to have to return it after I have just gotten settled in with it.

@Parker6

Microsoft comes out with FORCED Windows Updates every week, and when those get installed AUTOMATICALLY, that will drive up the processor to 100% and the fan noise, as well.

But that should only last for a few hours until the updates are done, and the PC should be relatively quiet after that.

Also, that should not cause the kind of sound you are hearing.

If this was mine, and I could return it for a refund, I would do that.

I don't think that's the issue. This happened spontaneously, when I was sitting with my laptop on top of a blanket on my lap. And the issue has persisted since I made this post, so, far more than a couple of hours. I think the fan needs to be cleaned but I'm not sure if I do it on my own whether that would null the warranty.
