For those reading:
This is a duplicate request - Original Thread on same subject:
Full battery white indicator light not on
If I understand you correctly,
- This is a duplicate request to your original inquiry.
- The battery shows charged to full 100% capacity.
- Battery shows "charging" status.
- There are no apparent problems with the battery.
- The light next to the charge port is orange as opposed to a steady white light.
- You updated the BIOS (version unknown - this information is tied to notebook model and OS version).
Answer
If the battery is charging - apparently to capacity - and (yet) the orange light remains on,
The condition might indicate that the battery is not able to hold a charge.
Assuming the charge system is operational (AC adapter correct and functional for the computer),
Assuming the electrical system (charge system and other on-board components are functional),
Assuming the issue is not merely a "sticking point" in the boot cycle,
Then
If the battery cannot hold a charge, it needs to be replaced.
If the battery does not hold a charge, it is essentially no longer doing its job.

➡️ We do not know the computer model (not provided) nor do we (therefore) know the age of the device.
For example,
If the battery is the original (that came installed in the computer) and if the computer is older than about one year of age, the battery may being showing signs of failure or difficulty. This is normal behavior.

Battery will not charge when system is warm to hot
If the “not charging” issue is (only) apparent when the system is running hot (or near that point), the battery and charge system are likely overheated as well – the charge system will resume operation when the computer cools down. Short Version: An overheated battery / computer / charging-system will not charge the battery – this is normal behavior.
➡️ We do not know whether you have completed the component tests (UEFI) as suggested by agent Asmita6658 in your original thread.
Run (UEFI) Component Tests on (at least) the charger (AC adapter), the battery, and the system board.

Notes
- The component tests do need to be endlessly repeated. Try to resist doing so.
- If you cannot help yourself, one additional testing round, say after about ten minutes, should not hurt anything.
➡️ Switch off Fast Start option - boot from the Operating System data on disk.
Switch off / on Fast Start / Fast Boot
Settings > System > Power and Sleep > Additional Power Settings >
Choose what the power button does >
Click Change settings that are currently unavailable >
Remove Check (clear box) Turn on fast startup (recommended) >
Save
- Close programs (browsers, games, email, etc) and close any open windows
Windows key + X (opens a command list) > Click / Select Command Prompt (Admin) >
When the command window opens, type the following command and hit Enter:
shutdown /s /t 0
- Wait for the computer to shut down completely (a few seconds)
- Boot the computer > Log in > Wait around for a couple of minutes (yes, wait, do not rush) >
- Try shutting down the notebook from Windows key > Power
If all now works as expected, and you want to continue using Fast Boot,
Switch ON the fast boot / fast startup setting (optional)
➡️ If you did not do so, try the Hard Reset option suggested by the agent.

Detailed "Hard Stop / Complete Start" - Press and Pray
If there are boot issues that prevent a complete or clean boot of the Operating System,
IF there is not actually anything wrong with the windows installation or the File System,
Then
The following procedure might resolve various "stuck" or "odd behavior" issues.
- Unplug everything, including power and all other externally connected components
- Press and hold down the power button for thirty (30) to forty (40) seconds
- Release the power button
- Plug in only basic components needed to start / boot the computer
- Desktop: Connect Power, wired mouse and keyboard, HDMI to monitor (and monitor is powered on)
- Notebook: Connect AC Power
- Switch on the system with power button - Click power and release (as for normal boot)
Hoped for Results:
- System switches on, monitor active, mouse and keyboard responsive
When the system reboots,
- Log in
- Connect LAN (Ethernet)
- Connect other components (USB, external webcam, speakers...)
- General housekeeping (checks, more staring at it)
