Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
My system is stuck on getting windows ready do not turn off computer. Has been like this for over 24 hours. tried a power reset and startup repair, nothing worked. can you help? it’s a Windows10 OS

In the link I posted above on System Recovery. You could go thru those steps- but on Step 5 choose  "Refresh your PC" or "Reset" rather than Recovery Manager to see if that works. If not-Recovery Manager and System Recovery may be the only way out.

A little more info on what led up to the problem would help. For instance- is this a new laptop and just setting up? Or after a Windows Update it started this Or???

 

Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.

i bought the computer last year in April. I updated a program (Steam), not the system, and then restarted the computer. That s when I got that message. I will try the F2 key option

ended up resetting it coz nothing else worked. these new OS are just so annoying
