Welcome to HP forums, I see that the photo app is crashing.

Update the Bios and drivers using HP Support Assistant

Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

Update the computer.

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

  6. Perform any other update management actions as needed.

    • Postpone an update: Click Remind me, and then select a time preference.

    • Delete an available update: Click the Delete icon  to remove the update from the list and record it in the action log.

    • Review updates status: Click Action log below the list to view installed, postponed, or deleted updates.

BIOS is updated and it is the updated version of the graphics driver causing the crash, hence i had to reinstall the previous version of Intel HD graphics driver, thank you for taking the time to reply though it is much appreciated.

Maybe you didnt understand me but the BIOS is updated and had a clean install of windows 10 but the updated Intel HD graphics driver is causing the microsoft photo app to crash, the only workaround ms support can find is to install the previous version of the graphics driver. im asking if there is a way to install the updated graphics driver without this crash happening

It looks like you were interacting with @sandytechy20, but he is out for the day. I'm KrazyToad & I'm at your service.

This seems to be a compatibility issue between the latest Intel driver and Windows 10

As of now, you will not be able to use the latest driver without the App crashing until Microsoft or Intel release another update to correct this problem

Thank you 😊
