Someone is editing my files remotely - it's a hacker attack. Something like this has happened at least several times. Mainly it consists of minor changes to the text of the .docx file. (Kind of spitefully. I've generally experienced something like this in recent years. I'm after a series of attacks. More about me: gogetfunding.com/international-help/) It's even possible that these changes were made while I had this program open. I do not know how it's possible.

I have already written in various places, I have this file in the OneDrive cloud. I also wrote to them but they are silent, they do not answer.

I have office 2016 installed, legal license. No suspicious programs. I try to work without internet but sometimes I have to turn it on. How is this possible?
How to prevent it? I have norton 360 deluxe / premium, did a full scan, etc, but the problem still continues.

The previous time, in a very similar situation, when I had this file on Sync.com cloud, I received the following reply after sending my logs that they asked me for:

"I see that Sync was trying to sync a file from the computer, but it was delayed as the file was being used by another process or third-party program:

STAXXXENT/msoddXd.tmp

The file has been redacted for your privacy. Essentially, Sync was waiting for the other program to be finished with it before syncing the file. All I can see from here is that the edit came from the 'SAFE' computer. There may be a third-party program on the computer that was using the file at the time."

While I understand your distress at this situation, you need to know that we here are not Cyber Security experts -- so we can not provide detailed advice regarding either how to disinfect your PC, or how to prevent it from getting infected again.

Our general approach in the first, since it is virtually impossible to find hidden malware, is to tell folks to create factory reset media, disconnect from the Internet, and use that to completely erase and restore your PC.  But that will erase EVERYTHING on it, including all applications and files -- and that might not be what you want to do.

As to the second, you would have to go online and research antivirus software options to see which one best suits your needs.  We are not permitted to make recommendations about these.

My suggestion is to see if there is a Cyber Security firm locally that can advise you on how to disinfect your PC, and also make recommendations about AV software to install.

Personally, I would also advise you to quit using Cloud Storage -- as that adds to the risk.

So maybe that's why few of my same/similar posts were deleted, disappeared.

I am not able to comment on that -- as I do not remove or delete posts.
