I recently moved my OS to a new SSD and after some days laptop suddenly crashed and after it started showing 8gb ram in task manager. I have 16gb ram on my laptop and it is not showing the second slot. I cleaned the slot it showed there is 16gb ram then it froze and nothing worked I tried many times same happened and the blue screen also came showed page fault error and froze.

After when i ran the UEFI it showed the failure id but as i clicked contact HP it froze again.

I cannot search for the failure id anywhere.
Tried contacting support but no human option available and the assistant couldn't identify it.WhatsApp Image 2025-01-15 at 19.11.20_0d679ae0.jpg

I just recently upgraded my HP Pavilion.  I didn't know that the laptops have a built in "Memory Test" you can run to verify if there is any issue with your RAM.

I ran the test shows no error. In fact it does not scan the second slot at all.

You will probably have to replace the defective 8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz memory chip.

If you enter the required information at the link below, it should provide a report of the code and the most likely way to fix it.

Have you swapped the memory sticks around?  Move slot 2 to slot 1???

It seems as though the system is not recognizing slot 2??

I swapped the ram and also put the ram individually in both slots in the end 1st slot worked correctly but second doesnot boot most times but if it booted up it froze after going to desktop.
