Welcome to the HP Community --

Simple headset with a microphone.

Does not have to be fancy - even a simple USB connected headset with attached microphone works.

Set your sound to use your headset / mic as the input.

Depending on the noise level in your work area, you might get away with using your system's onboard microphone and speakers.  This can be easy or tricky if you are interacting with "Speak to Type" and doing other tasks at the same time.

Settings > System > Sound

Sample / Example - USB connected headset and microphone

You need an open document and an open Text box to enter the information when you speak.

The simple how-to here:

Use voice typing to talk instead of type on your PC

Select your OS and read the instructions.

Essentially,

Open a document,

Create a Text Box - Optionally clear any existing entries

On your keyboard, type  Windows Key + H Key
