Hi @surinderc,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
To display file/folder size and date of creation by default in Windows Explorer on your HP Pavilion 16-inch Laptop PC 16-af0000 with Windows 11, you can customize the folder view settings and apply them to all folders. Here's how to set it up:
Steps to Display File Size and Date of Creation:
Open File Explorer:
- Press Windows + E to open File Explorer.
Switch to Details View:
- In the File Explorer window, click on the View tab in the toolbar.
- Select Details from the drop-down menu. This will display your files and folders in a detailed list with columns.
Add File Size and Date of Creation Columns:
- Right-click on any column header (e.g., Name, Date modified).
- Select More from the context menu to open a list of available columns.
- Scroll through the list and check Size and Date created.
- Click OK to add these columns to the current folder view.
Set This View as Default for All Folders:
- After configuring the view to show file size and date created, go to the View tab in File Explorer.
- Click on Options (on the far right), then select Change folder and search options.
- In the Folder Options window, go to the View tab.
- Click Apply to Folders to set this folder view for all folders of the same type.
- Confirm by clicking Yes.
Now, all folders will display file sizes and date created by default in the detailed view. You can customize this further by adding other columns (like Date modified, File type, etc.) if needed.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
