Hello i have a hp envy i am trying to reinstall windows 10 on my laptop, no i do not have recovery drive.

i have a windows 10 key i bought pro. i boot up into window 10 installation and windows will not detect my ssd why ?

  i hope hp did not give me a proprietary ssd that only works with there recover tool.

Hi:

 

if your notebook has an Intel 11th gen core processor, use the driver files that I zipped up and attached below and see if they help Windows find your SSD...

 

Follow the guidance in this document for how to install the driver I attached.  Skip to step 7 in the second set of pictures.

OK, then follow the instruction guide and use the drivers I attached.

 

Unzip the file to its folder and copy the folder to your USB flash drive.

hey im following the instructions but i cant find the driver ?

You unzip the attached driver to its folder.

 

You put the folder on a USB flash drive.

 

When you get to the part of the installation that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' and it can't find any drives to install Windows to, you click on the Load driver option at the bottom of that window and browse to the unzipped driver folder you copied to the flash drive.

 

If you check the box it will only include the compatible driver, click Next and W10 should find the drive.

 

I just helped this other forum member with the same driver and the same issue this morning.
