i bought a new HP lap top with windows 11. it does not have that much storge , i buy a lot of movies and music. trying to transfer files to an external hard drive to keep my storage free on my lap top. what is the easiest way to do this. on my last lap top ther was a send to button, that was a windows 10 .

If the external drive is mounted / mapped on your system, the procedure to copy data to this type of destination is not much changed over time.
Were it mine to do, I would certainly not use "move" --
Copy the original to the destination ,
Verify,
Check again -
Only then delete the original.
Never delete anything that is not backed up.
A single version / copy of any data, file, or content is not a backup -- it is a recipe for lost data.
Use "Send"
Yes, there is a "Send to" in Windows 11 -- it's moved to "See more options"
I don't use this method -- tested and it does seem to work.
Example - Select content > Right-Click > Show more options > Send to > Select Destination
Select_Right-Click_Show-more-options_Send-to_1
