Welcome to the HP User Community.

This is a Windows procedure.

If the intention is to replace the Microsoft account,

If Windows will let you do so, change the account into a local account.

Example from the Microsoft Community

How do I change my Microsoft Account into a Local Account

Another of the many articles on the subject:

Change Microsoft Account to Local Account in Windows 11

Longer way 'round...

Create a new local account on the system - be sure to edit the account and change it to an "admin" type account.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Windows 11 Windows 10

Log into the new account.

If this is a replacement account for the Microsoft account that is already on the computer,

Be sure you copy all your data from the Microsoft account to the new local account.

If needful, install any programs / software that cannot be simply "switched" over.

When you are satisfied that you have everything set the way you want it,

Delete the Microsoft account.

Thank you for participating in the HP Community.

Our Community is comprised of volunteers - people who own and use HP devices.
