Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to enable acceleration for intel smart response technology, I am glad to assist you.
The Intel RST software denotes Intel Smart Response Technology as accelerate. To enable the Intel RST:
- Run the Intel RST software through the All Programs menu or the task bar icon.
- Click Enable acceleration under either the Status or Accelerate menu.
- Select the SSD for the cache device.
- Select the size from the SSD allocated for the cache memory.
- Select the drive (or RAID volume) to accelerate.
- We recommend accelerating the system volume or system disk for maximum performance.
- Select the acceleration mode. By default, enhanced mode is selected.
- Click OK. The page refreshes and reports the new acceleration configuration in the acceleration view. Your system is now successfully configured with the Intel Smart Response Technology.
Note:- Enhanced mode: Acceleration is optimized for data protection.
Maximized mode: Acceleration is optimized for input/output performance.
Note :- Any remaining space on the SSD may be used for data storage, using the single-disk RAID 0 volume that is automatically created.
Keep me posted.
If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

I downloaded the factory image and when trying to install, got the same message as everyone on the forums, "Intel Smart Response Technology acceleration...". So I reinstqlled generic Windows 10 without machine specific device drivers, then did the factory recovery of the previously downloaded factory image while running in the generic Windows 10 install.
It took more than four hours to do it, but I now have the factory image on the laptop. And all the device drivers are machine specific.
