Did your notebook originally come with Windows from HP?

If so, the Windows product key is encrypted in your notebook's BIOS and is not needed to install W11.

If your notebook came with FreeDOS, there is no product key in the BIOS, and you will have to find the product key that you installed when you first installed Windows on the old hard drive.

If your notebook came with Windows from HP, I have zipped up attached the free Showkey Plus app that is available from the Microsoft store that you can't access.

The program will show the OEM product key in the BIOS and the version of Windows the key is good for.

The only source you should be using to create a W11 USB installation flash drive is the Media creation tool from Microsoft:

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
