Were you able to recover the files you wanted from the drive?

If it's making a clicking sound -- that indicates the head seek mechanism is failing and the drive could "die" any time now.  It might work for months, but it could also fail today.  The drive needs to be replaced.

Hello WAWood and Thanks for your reply. Yeah I could get the drive to appear once or twice. However, I will break anything that is already broken. So I tried to open it by following some video instructions, however, my drive did not open so easy I did see the mechanism arm that reads the disk, and it was slightly pushed off the disk. I gave up and screwed the darn thing back. The frustration I am having is NOT knowing what is on the drive. (Daughter's first steps, SMH) Oh well it is what it is and life goes on. I can't miss what I don't know I'm missing.  Thanks for your reply and your volunteering spirit!

You OPENED a drive!! You must not know that is a VERY BAD thing to do or you would not have done it.  You have trashed it by doing that.
