@catalina26, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Option 1: Reinstall via Device Manager
Right-click the Start menu and select Device Manager.
In Device Manager, scroll down and look for Imaging Devices or Cameras.
If your camera is listed but has a warning icon, right-click and select Enable device.
If it’s not listed:
Click Action in the top menu,
Select Scan for hardware changes.
This may detect and reinstall the camera automatically.
Option 2: Use Windows Update
Open Settings > Windows Update.
Click Check for updates.
Look under Optional updates – sometimes driver updates are listed there.
Option 3: Using HP Support Assistant
Check for Updates:
Open HP Support Assistant.
Go to the My Dashboard tab.
Click on Updates to check for and install the latest drivers and BIOS updates.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
