Hi @Bhar4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP laptop is experiencing a hardware or software issue that's preventing the display from working and causing the keyboard and touchpad to be unresponsive. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
Restart the Laptop:
- Hold down the power button for about 10 seconds to force a shutdown.
- Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart the laptop.
Check External Display:
- If possible, connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if the display works there.
- This can help determine if the issue is with the laptop's screen.
Advanced Troubleshooting Steps
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect all external devices (e.g., USB drives, external mice, etc.).
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and battery, then try to turn on the laptop.
Boot into Safe Mode:
- If you can see the HP logo or any screen during startup, repeatedly press the F8 key to try and boot into Safe Mode.
- In Safe Mode, you can troubleshoot driver issues that might be causing the problem.
Check BIOS Settings:
- Turn off the laptop and then press the power button. Immediately start pressing the F10 key repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.
- In the BIOS, check if the keyboard and touchpad are recognized.
- Exit the BIOS and restart the laptop.
Reset BIOS to Default Settings:
- While in the BIOS, look for an option to reset settings to default.
- Save the changes and exit.
Hardware Troubleshooting
Reseat the RAM:
- If you're comfortable opening your laptop, try reseating the RAM modules.
- Turn off the laptop, remove the battery and power adapter, open the laptop case, and carefully remove and reinsert the RAM modules.
Check for Loose Connections:
- Ensure that there are no loose connections inside the laptop, particularly related to the display cable and keyboard connections.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
