i’m so angry at hp right now in all honesty. about a month ago my laptop started to shut down randomly. i got the laptop less than a year ago, and i still have a warranty for about another month. i took it to best buy and they did troubleshooting and told me it was a motherboard issue and that they’d have to send it to the manufacturer (HP) for repair. it was sent out and worked on for around two weeks, and when it came back the other day, the issue was not fixed. today, i got onto a chat with HP service to try to figure out what to do. for about an hour and a half they had me do different updates and run tests and stuff (all things they could’ve done when they had my laptop for repair). finally he says that the next step to fix it will require a clean 32 gb flash drive and asks if i happen to already have one. i obviously do not just have one lying around??? so i said no and he told me to acquire one and then contact them again to continue. so now i have to buy a flash drive and contact a new person and re explain my entire problem AFTER IT WAS IN FOR REPAIRS AND THEY COULDVE DONE THIS ALL THEMSELVES. i have a warranty STILL and i want to send it in again and have them actually fix it instead of fumbling through it with directions from someone over a chat. but im worried if i send it in they won’t fix the problem again and it’ll be prolonged until my warranty expires so i have to pay for the repairs or buy a new laptop which is super messed up and im honestly so mad about it. ive been without a laptop for a month now and i have **bleep** to do for my JOB that i can’t complete because my laptop shuts down at random. if you can’t fix it then replace my laptop like the warranty is supposed to do.
