Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I know that windows 7 is no longer supported, but I am having a issue with trying to download it via a USB. The installer keeps saying that it is missing a driver and I'm pretty sure it is the usb3.0 driver. I have tried to mount the iso and put the drivers in the installer, but it is not working. Any help would be nice.

Hi:

It may be the USB 3.0 driver issue, but that isn't the major problem.

You can get around the USB issue by using the gigabyte tool to incorporate the USB 3 drivers into your W7 installation media.

Should you get past that problem there is no W7 eMMC storage controller driver, so W7 will not be able to 'see' the drive.

Bottom line:  W7 is not supported on that platform.

ok thanks, if I can get the driver installed I'm just using wintousb to install it to a ssd.

You're very welcome.

Do you know if there is a way to install the drivers without a windows 7 disk?

That gigabyte tool I gave you will automatically inject the USB 3 drivers into your W7 USB installation media.

It won't work with a W7 DVD.

Got it. Thanks for the clear up.
