Greetings @bhanu9999

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to install Windows 10 on your computer.

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Have you run a diagnostics on your computer?

Are you trying to install the OS using a retail copy of Windows or the one created on your computer?

OS installation disc provided for a different computer/manufacturer will not work on your computer.

Disclaimer: HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance. You can change the configuration at your own risk.

Based on the product number shared by you, the computer came with Windows 8. Click here.

Recommend you install the OS using the recovery kit created on your computer or retail copy.

If you are trying to install Windows 8 or 10, boot the computer to BIOS.

Restore BIOS to defaults.

Make sure Secure boot is enabled and the legacy boot is disabled.

Save and Exit BIOS.

Insert the recovery kit.

Turn the computer On, keep tapping F9 to get the boot order option.

Select the USB or DVD option based on the device in which you have the OS installation files and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Please do not have any external devices connected during the installation.

Refer to this HP Article for assistance.

Perform a system test to make sure all the components are working fine. Click here

Recovery kit present on my notebook is not working. Thats why i have a genuine windows 10 bootable usb. And i am following the same steps as u said. There is only usb connected as external device. But then again it got stuck at "getting devices ready(53%)".

Thats the reason i dont know what is happening.

It always got stuck at that point. With no further progress.

Thanks for the reply and trying the suggested steps. Did you run the system test on your computer as suggested?

Recommend you run a system test, if you have not run a system test already.

If all the tests pass, try performing a recovery using a different recovery kit or try this interactive guided troubleshooter for assistance.

Keep me posted.
