Hi!

imagen1A few days ago I got the following message "You need to repair your PC or device" (attached image 1). On another laptop I downloaded the HP Cloud Recovery tool and followed the steps to create a bootable USB.
Then on my HP Omen laptop I performed the image loading procedure and it could not finish the process showing the following message (attached image 2) and when restarting the laptop it no longer finds the 3F0 boot hard drive.
I am trying to perform a clean installation of Windows 11 from a bootable USB and after choosing the hard drive where it will be installed (attached image 3) I get an error message during installation (attached image 4).
Please support me.

Hi @henry0580
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering some significant issues while trying to restore or reinstall Windows 11 on your HP Omen 16 laptop. The error messages and issues you're describing could be related to either software or hardware problems. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
1. Check the BIOS Settings
Before proceeding with the installation, make sure the BIOS settings are configured correctly:
- Enter BIOS: Turn off your laptop. Then turn it on and press the Esc key (or F10 on some HP models) repeatedly to enter the BIOS/UEFI.
- Boot Order: Ensure that the bootable USB drive is set as the first boot device. In the BIOS menu, navigate to the "Boot" tab and make sure the USB device is prioritized.
- Secure Boot: If Secure Boot is enabled, try disabling it temporarily to allow for installation from a bootable USB.
- UEFI vs. Legacy Boot: Make sure the system is set to boot in UEFI mode (not Legacy) for Windows 11. UEFI is the recommended mode for modern Windows installations.
2. Ensure the Bootable USB is Properly Created
The bootable USB might not be configured correctly, which can result in errors during installation.
- Recreate the bootable USB using the Windows Media Creation Tool. Ensure you select UEFI as the partition style when creating the USB.
- Check the USB drive: Try using a different USB drive if possible. Sometimes, a faulty USB stick can cause installation issues.
3. Repartition and Format the Hard Drive
During installation, if you're receiving errors when selecting the hard drive, the partitioning might be corrupted or misconfigured.
- When you get to the step where you select the drive to install Windows (Image 3), select the drive (it should be the largest partition) and delete all existing partitions on it.
- Important: Deleting the partitions will erase all data on that drive, so make sure to back up any critical data first if possible.
- After deleting the partitions, select the unallocated space to install Windows. The installer will automatically create the necessary partitions.
4. Run HP Diagnostics
Your issue might be hardware-related, such as a failing hard drive or SSD. HP Omen laptops come with built-in diagnostics tools to test the hardware.
- Run Diagnostics: Turn off your laptop and turn it back on, pressing Esc repeatedly to enter the HP Startup Menu.
- Press F2 to run HP's built-in diagnostic tool.
- Perform a Hard Drive Check and Memory Test. If there are issues with your hard drive or SSD, you might need to replace it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
